Roland Rheeder, who was one of the mentors to the founder and Managing Director of Ayavelisa, Tando Vutha, accepted an invitation to serve as one of the mentors to our team of candidate quantity surveyors in 2015. Roland is a professionally registered quantity surveyor and was a managing partner of a prominent quantity surveying firm for almost 30 years. He still consults for a couple of infrastructure development agencies in the Eastern Cape and works on various social initiatives too. Roland is the proverbial numbers guy. His detailed and diligent approach to the profession of quantity surveying makes him to the ‘go-to-guy’ in the mentorship of future quantity surveyors. He is also a registered Construction Project Manager and has spent a considerable amount of time mentoring emerging contractors as well.

George, who is also one of our semi-retired mentors, brings to the team a wealth of experience, having overseen developments with a combined value well over R1 billion. His knowledge and experience of over 40 years in both greenfield and brownfield real estate projects bring an edge to the property development business unit.
